Orlando Science Center, Orlando, Florida
A 180,000 SF educational and exhibit center for the sciences housing exhibit halls, a planetarium, IMAX theater, offices and a roof top observatory. The building is six levels and contains a full height center atrium. The structural system is comprised of a braced structural steel frame with composite steel beams supported on shallow foundations. A pedestrian bridge connects the main building to the parking garage. The glass enclosed bridge spans 250 feet across a public street. Its structural system is a structural steel space frame.
